20 Dec 2022 Update Letter

SHALOM DEAR FRIENDS & FAMILY

It has been a while since we have shared something. We as a family have gone through a very challenging season these past two years and have learned so much in these dark times. All glory and praise be to YHVH that He is shining His light on us to get a better understanding for what to do in this season right now and how to grow in Him through it.

We continue to work on the development of the Harvest Life School vision and again thank everyone for their support and prayer. We are making good progress with the school’s website which we plan to launch early next year, and we are looking forward to sharing more detail about the school soon. Although the school will not open yet, the fundraising for the school continues, and we continue to press on in order to give birth to this vision, as we desire to build a strong foundation that will be able to stand when everything is shaken. Babylon will fall but that which is built upon Abba’s Kingdom (love) will stand. We will advise the opening date of the school well in advance, and we encourage you to find alternative means of education for your children in the meantime.

I want to share a Scripture that really hit me to the core.

Ezekiel 22:30-31

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. 31 Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.

My question is this: Are you standing in the gap for someone or for your family or for your country? You see, if you stand in the gap, pray, and seek the Father’s face, you will not speak against a person or a group of people. My encouragement is to keep on praying, and if you haven’t started, don’t wait, please start. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God through the pulling down of strongholds. I urge you to use your spiritual authority that has been given to you through the resurrection power of our Messiah. No one said that this journey was going to get easier. Truth be told, it’s going to get harder; you need to grow stronger in God, you cannot afford to compromise. The churches also will either grow colder or be on fire for God. We need to continue to follow the first principles of our faith as taught in Deuteronomy:

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Deuteronomy 11:13

‘And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,

Mark 12:29-31

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

This Scripture purely shows that obedience flows out of love for God, and it also reveals how much you love yourself because it’s seen in how much you love others. Everything will fail but LOVE will remain. Yeshua also says if you love Him, you will obey Him. I am sharing this foundational truth because our foundations need to be solid when there is a shaking, and all the building that you did will be in vain. You don’t want to spend a lifetime on building something and then, when the test comes, the whole house comes tumbling down.

We went today to look at a house that my parents was interested in buying… it’s the most beautiful house. But something caught my eye, and my father also picked it up and inspected it by examining it. The foundation walls were built with amazing rock face bricks that are almost resistant to deterioration, needing almost no maintenance, but the problem was that the cement that had been used to build the foundations was not strong enough, and the wind and sand from the ocean and desert carved out the cement between the bricks just because the builders did not use the correct strength of cement and sand mix. If nothing is done to the foundation walls, the high walls of the house (worst case scenario) will crack and tumble down. All of this, just because of a single ingredient that was not added sufficiently.

We need to examine our foundations, and the test is love. I am just blown away by the thought that this one simple ingredient could cause so much damage.

I want to encourage you to take a look at your foundation. Does it need a little maintenance, like filling the gaps that the past seasons have made, with the love of GOD. And does your cup overflow with His love?

May Abba fill you in this time of rest with His love so that you can run this race of faith with endurance because you are waiting on Him. Hallelujah!

Much love and blessings, Rion and family
